caravan was lovely 10/10
Electricity went off 8am in morning did not come back on till after 6.30pm in evening. Was told by reception staff out of there control as was electricity company. When pressed for electricity supplier so fault could be followed rather than keep going to reception it was then admitted was contractor. Told no manager on site. Someone asked for at least a cup of tea. This was refused. When finally said fault had been going on long enough and demanding to see a manager. Suddenly everyone was a manager. General manager did come to see us in the end and saw him later on site when he advised electricity was back on. These things happen but the customer service you receive makes all the difference and was totally non-extistant. It was shocking. No compensation was offered. Unfortunately came away with two mixologists. Service from bar staff was dreadful. Slow orders often wrong. Was a shame. Tried to make sure was served by girls as they were the only ones who seemed to get orders right.
Other than that we had a lovely holiday. Great location.

Where to start. Over an hour and a half late for check in. Finally got to caravan to find it smelt like a public urinal due to previous occupant relieving themselves in one of the bedrooms (no way this wasn't noticed by cleaning staff as it absolutely stank!) Other areas of the caravan were also still dirty. No where else for us to go as the site had no contingency planning in place. Electrics off all the next day (which the site manageress claimed was not the sites fault even though it was an on site consumer board issue not sure whos fault she thought it was??). When the electricy finally came back on in the evening the boiler then broke. Having had more than enough i contacted the security guards to again ask for the site manager to come to the caravan (no one other than a very nice maintainance man had come in the 24 hr period) to be told that there was no site manager (even though there was) and i was rudely hung up on. When i eventually located the manager he finally came (albeit kicking and screaming) to the van where he was almost sick due to the smell and had to admit that the site had failed us. I demanded my money be returned (which i am still waiting for a week later even though the money was taken out instantly at time purchase) and vacated on my wedding anniversary having both the holiday and the anniversary ruined. Making Memories is an interesting slogan as i definately will not forget this fiasco. Don't stay here. Either save your cash by opting for the local public toilets (its gonna smell of urine one way or another) or book into Freshwater Bay which is just up the road and is by far a much more professional site.
