Tunes in the Dunes, Cornwall

8th-10th June 2018

The first festival on our list is Tunes in the Dunes. What can we say? The Cornish have got epic beach festivals down to a tee! Heaven for music lovers, Tunes in the Dunes takes place on the award-winning Perranporth beach.

There’s something for everyone on the Tunes in the Dunes line-up this year, as the white-sand beach will host some fantastic word-famous acts. 80’s pop sensation UB40 headlines the main stage at Looe on Saturday night, followed by indie star Jake Bugg and pop folk sensation, Gabrielle Aplin on Sunday. Prepare to dance the night away at this magnificent event, which is hosted by beach bar and restaurant The Watering Hole, so you can enjoy refreshing drinks and fabulous food and drinks while experiencing this stunning summer event.

GoldCoast Oceanfest, Croyde Bay

15th-17th June 2018

Luckily, you don’t need to head down-under to get the ‘Gold Coast’ experience. Celebrating its 20th year in 2018, GoldCoast Oceanfest takes place just steps from Ruda Holiday Park in Devon, making it the perfect day to lay your hat after a day of singing along to fantastic artists, tucking into delicious street food and playing awesome beach sports.

Mouth of the Tyne Festival, Tynemouth

5th-8th July 2018

Our next stop on this list than with an amazing event that overlooks one of the UK’s Blue Flag beaches, Tynemouth Longsands. As if that’s not cool enough, the Mouth of the Tyne Festival is hosted at historic North East landmark, Tynemouth Priory. With over 2,000 years of history, the priory was once one of the largest fortified areas in England. Having been home to Anglo-Saxon settlers, a royal castle and even a coastal defence, the English Heritage site is hands-down one of the UK’s best venues for a festival.

Check out the amazing line-up for 2018’s Mouth of the Tyne Festival and get in the mood for some northern soul by the sea. The festival will play host to numerous amazing acts, including pop icon Paloma Faith, X-Factor winner James Arthur, musical legends Paul Heaton & Jacqui Abbott and British soul pioneer Beverley Knight.

Surfers will also love the next festival on our list. Five incredible days of music, arts and surfing, Boardmasters is the perfect way to experience Cornwall’s favourite past time at one of the region’s most beautiful beaches. Idyllic and spiritual, Boardmasters aims to move away from the traditional music festival and promotes a passion for nature, a focus on wellbeing and an appreciation for all things surfing.

This year’s line-up to be seen to be believed. Enjoy indie favourites Catfish and The Bottlemen, electronic legends The Chemical Brothers and singer songwriter George Ezra, and many more world-famous acts, with golden sand between your toes, a refreshing drink and the breath of salt in the sea air.
