If you're staying at St Margaret's Bay Holiday Park this Easter, you'll find the spectacular ramparts of historic Dover Castle less than 10 minutes away. The castle is home to over 1,000 years of history - with the site's defensive position first being recognised by Iron Age settlers. It wasn't until the 1180s that King Henry II set out to build the impressive castle that stands today.

Well worth a visit at any time of year, young and old alike will find plenty of fascinating treasures and exhibits within its walls. However, if you're visiting this Easter, you'll be able to take part in the Easter Adventure Quest for a small additional charge, where adults and children can hunt for clues throughout the castle and track down Easter eggs - ending with a chocolate sweet treat. It's the perfect way to learn a little more about history while staying entertained.

Heading to North Devon this Easter? A trip to The BIG Sheep is a must - just 10 minutes from Bideford Bay Holiday Park, The BIG Sheep is one of Devon's biggest all weather family attractions - with rides, slides and animal encounters to keep everyone entertained.

Visit between 29th March and 14th April and you'll get to enjoy plenty of egg-cellent Easter fun. Follow the Easter trail and see if you can win the prize. Meet the Easter bunny in real life, or head into the barn to feed and pet the adorable baby animals. Plus there are loads of family and thrill rides, as well as live animal shows to keep all ages entertained.

Nature reserve & Easter crafts, Northumberland

• Price: Entry to the visitor centre and reserve is free, however a £10 charge applies to the Easter crafts activity which is bookable online (activity suitable for those aged 16+ only)

If you're looking for a more relaxed, grown-up Easter activity and want to get outdoors, we'd recommend a visit to the Hauxley Wildlife Discovery Centre on the Northumberland Coast. This eco-friendly visitor centre is situated in one of Northumberland's best wildlife-watching spots, with birds, butterflies and red squirrels calling the reserve home. Plus, it's just a stone's throw from Druridge Bay, offering spectacular beach views. Why not take a walk along the beach and around the reserve's trails to blow away the winter cobwebs and get into the spring spirit this Easter?

If you're visiting on the 22nd March, we'd recommend popping in during the morning to take part in an Easter crafting session run by the Northumberland Wildlife Trust. During this, you'll be able to make and take away your very own Easter-themed centrepiece to decorate your table at home, or in your caravan.

Druridge Bay and the Hauxley Wildlife Discovery Centre are just minutes from Cresswell Towers Holiday Park.

Easter Adventures at Dyffryn Gardens, South Wales

Green fingered mums and dads will love a day out at Dyffryn Gardens this Easter.
